Tour to the most scenic tours safaris and most popular national parks of Uganda including Murchison FallsKibale ForestQueen ElizabethBwindi Impenetrable and lake Mburo.
Highlights not to miss: the magnificent Murchison Falls, the famous mountain gorilla and chimpanzee treks, game drives, boat cruises, birding, and scenery.

DAY 1: ­ENTEBBE – KAMPALA. (45 MIN)

Meet and greet at Entebbe International Airport by our driver Guide. He will warmly welcome you and facilitate you arrival formalities. Transfer to your hotel and after a short brief about you safari check in for overnight. Depending on the time of arrival you are advised to have money Changed this day.

DAY 2: ENTEBBE –

MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK / 360 KMS 7 HOURS DRIVES.

At 0830 after your breakfast, begin the panoramic drive northwest through the famous Luwero Triangle, to Masindi Town, where you will stop for lunch. In the afternoon, drive to Murchison Falls National Park. Time allowing, visit the top of the falls to see them from above.

Option: Go via the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary. Cost per person $ 40.00

Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is the only place where Rhinos can be seen in the wild in Uganda. Presently 10 Southern White Rhinos are found on the nearly 17,000 acres of the sanctuary, with the land provided by Capt. Joe Roy on a long-term use right agreement to RFU. There are 3 adult males, 3 adult females, and 3 adolescents’ males were born on the sanctuary just over 2 years ago, along with a more recently-born female calf. Two of the adult females are also “in the family way” again and are expected to give birth over the next few months.

DAY 3: MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK

At 0700, go for an early morning game drive on the northern bank of the River Nile.  Your guide will help you spot elephant, lion, cape buffalo, Roth child’s giraffe, hartebeest, waterbuck, oribi, bushbuck, bohor reed buck, hyena and if you are lucky, the leopard.
After lunch, go for a boat safari upstream the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls stopping just few of meters from the ‘Devil’s Cauldron’, marvel at the toothsome hippos, home of  crocodiles and over the 17km stretch you may see elephant, waterbuck and Uganda Kob. This is also the zone of many birds, species like goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant and the rare shoebill stork.  After taking shorts of the photogenic Murchison Falls, return to your Lodge.

DAY 4: MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK – KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK /441 KMS

After your morning breakfast , cross on the ferry and drive south via Hoima to Fort Portal through verdant countryside and pass traditional homesteads, farms and Tea Estates. Fort Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon.  The drive takes approximately 8 hours..

DAY 5: KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARKQUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONALPARK/170 KMS

After breakfast visit Kibale Forest National Park, which is reputed to have the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. The most famous of its 13 species is the Chimpanzee, our closest relative. Kibale 1450 Chimpanzee represent Uganda’s largest population of this endangered primate. Kibale is also a home to the rare I’Hoest’s monkey. Other primates include the black and white Colobus, Blue monkey, Grey cheeked mangabey, Red tailed monkey, Olive baboon to mention but a few. So you will enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys and many others.
After lunch proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park following the mystical Rwenzori Mountain Range. As you go through the game park you might spot some animals.

DAY 6: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

 

Queen Elizabeth National Park¹s diverse eco-system of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife.

An early morning Game drive will give you the opportunity to view the massive Rwenzori as backdrop, which provides excellent opportunities to see lion, leopard, giant forest hog, Cape buffalo, elephant, defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob, topi and bushbuck. Return to the lodge for lunch.

At 1500 hours Proceed to the Mweya Peninsula to enjoy the unique 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel into Lake Edward. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of hippos.  This launch/cruise offers and excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing.  The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous, with well over 550 resident species. Return to the lodge in the evening.

DAY 7: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK – BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONALPARK /150KMS

After breakfast at 0900, head for the gorilla park. Drive via Ishasha sector to spot tree climbing lions. Continue southwards throughfarm lands and terraced hillside and winding roads to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park-the northern sector called Buhoma. Have Lunch at the lodge. In the evening take a walk around the lodge to enjoy the forest views and tranquility of its surroundings.

DAY 8: BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

Have breakfast at 0700. Report to the park office at 0730 for briefing after which accompanied by guides make your entry into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

The rainforest is spectacular, it offers a dramatic, steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense, but crisscrossed by numerous animal¹s trails allowing access to tourists.   Mammals recorded include the endangered Mt Gorilla, rare golden monkey, buffalo, elephant, black-fronted duiker, bushbuck, leopard, giant forest hog and others.  This park is best known for the fascinating gorillas. The thrill of spending time and observing the gorillas is a rare moving, awesome and exciting adventure. There is always a ranger guide to interpret the Fauna and the Flora. The gorilla is a shy and peaceful animal and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they interact.

For those not tracking Gorillas they can go for a community walk to observe traditional. In the afternoon, relax at the lodge.

DAY 9: BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK – LAKE MBURO NP267KMS

After breakfast at 0830, embark on a 3 hours’ drive to Lake Mburo National Park. Arrive at Rwakobo lodge and check in after which have your lunch. In the evening take a game drive. The Kopjes are particularly interesting and camouflage kilspringers and topis. Due to cattle herding in the area it is amusing to see zebra grazing alongside the long horned Ankole cattle peaceably. Enjoying the lake viewsof the park.

Optional:After dinner go for a night game drive to enable you catch

a glimpse of big cats (lions and leopards) as well as the diminutive genet and serval cats. Unusual nocturnal dwellers also show themselves such as forest elephants, white tailed mongoose and slender mongoose, standard and pennant winged nightjars depending on the time of year. There are always surprises on the night drives.

DAY 10: LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK – ENTEBBE. 290 KMS – 5 HRS.DRIVE

This morning after an early breakfast you can do the following:

Option1: Go for a safari walk under the escort of an armed ranger. Cost $ 30.00 per person.

Option 2: Take a two hour horse ride to view game and enjoy the fascinating scenery of the savannah.

Option 3: Take a boat ride on the lake to enjoy the flora and Fauna and watch the hippos up close. Cost per person $ 15.00.

OR, You can have a late breakfast, after which you start on your leisurely drive back to Kampala, with a stopover at the Equator where you will have an opportunity to stand in 2 hemispheres at the same time and take some photos, then another stop over at the Mpigi Royal Drum Makers where you will be able to watch the ceremonial drums being crafted using methods passed down through the generations. Drive to through to Entebbe arriving in the afternoon.
Depending on the departure, check in at the airport is 2 hours before your flight time back home
