ITINERARY

23 Days: Cultural Safari

This will involves Kenya Cultural Safaris, Bomas of Kenya and Maasai People.

Day 1: Arrival at Airport

Meet at the airport and transfer to the Hotel for BB

Day 2: Maasai Mara via Great Rift Valley

Pick up from your hotel and leave for Maasai Mara through the Great Rift Valley arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon proceed to the park for game viewing returning to Lodge/Camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Maasai Mara Game Reserve

Full day game viewing in a mini-bus with pop-up roof searching for the big five and other plains game. Dinner and overnight at Lodge/Camp.

Day 4: Maasai Village tour

Spend the whole day with the Maasai people, grazing and learning how they leave. All meals at the Lodge/Camp

Day 5: Maasai Village Tour

Another whole day with the Maasais, grazing and learning how they leave. All meals at the Lodge/Camp

Day 6: Lake Nakuru Game Tour

Breakfast before departing for Lake Nakuru arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive in this park noted for its huge concentration of Birds. Dinner and overnight at Lodge/Camp

Day 7: Samburu Game Reserve

After breakfast leave for Samburu Game Reserve arriving for lunch at the Camp. Afternoon game drive returning for dinner and overnight at the Lodge/Camp

Day 8: Samburu Game Reserve

Full day game viewing in this game reserve known for its reticulated giraffes, grevy’s zebra, Somalia ostrich and many leopards. All meals accommodation at the Lodge/Camp

Day 9: Samburu Village Tour

Spend the whole day with the Samburu people, grazing and learning how they leave. Samburu people are also pastoralists just like the Maasais. All meals at the Lodge/Camp

Day 10: Samburu Village Tour

Another whole day with the Samburu’s, grazing and learning how they leave. All meals at Lodge/Camp

Day 11 TO 16: Samburu – Meru

This day you will leave Samburu and drive to the Eastern province and stay with a family from the Meru tribe for 6 nights. You will learn their culture and their day to day live. The Meru’s from this area are small scale farmers. From this area you can even attempt to hike MT. Kenya through the Chogoria route.

Day 17 TO 21: Central Province Meeting Kikuyus

You will drive to Central province where the biggest tribe in Kenya, The Kikuyus, live. You will stay with a family for 5 nights. With this family, you will learn how the Kikuyus spend their day to day live. You will visit and work with them in their gardens where at this time of the year, they will be growing maize, beans and other cash crops like coffee and tea.

Day 22: Nairobi

This morning, depart for Nairobi arriving in the afternoon. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 23: Nairobi – Airport.

Free day for shopping before being transferred to the airport for departure.
