ITENARY
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali
On arrival at the Kigali airport, meet our experienced driver guide for transfer to your hotel, the guide will give you an insight on the wonderful adventures ahead.

Day 2: Nyungwe Forest National Park.
After breakfast check out, drive to Nyungwe Forest it’s approximately 6 hours. Perhaps visit Nyanza Royal Palace, once the former home of the King of Rwanda, and the adjacent reconstructed traditional palace made of reeds, National Museum, which showcases Rwandan life throughout the centuries. It houses items inherited from the ancient museum of Rwanda and other artefacts collected since 1990.

Day 3: Nyungwe Forest National Park
Set off after breakfast for the park headquarters, where we will get permit for chimpanzee trek. With the help of a driver/guide walk through the Nyungwe Forest in search of the chimps it’s also home to other primates, birds and animals, Your guide will teach you about tracking the chimpanzees, pointing out signs they`ve left where they have beaten the buttress roots of fig trees for example, as you head towards them. Seeing the chimpanzees playing and interacting in their natural habitat is an incredible sight, taking photos is also permitted

Day 4: Lake Kivu
Today we will drive to Lake Kivu which is approximately 7 hours, where you will stay at the Lake Kivu Serena Hotel on the shores of the lake. The luxurious hotel is surrounded by extensive tropical gardens, on the shores of the massive Lake Kivu, hence a beautiful spot to enjoy the area.
Relax by the pool, have cocktails at the bar or enjoy beauty treatments to help you to relax at an extra cost.

Day 5: Lake Kivu.
Today is free for relaxing or exploring Lake Kivu you can go swimming in the hotel pool, in the lake itself, have a tour of Gisenyi town, and hire a boat to visit some of the nearby islands on the lake. Your driver will help you with all of your arrangements at an extra cost

Day 6: Volcanoes National Park
Have a thrilling game drive in the foothills of the mighty Virunga’s volcanoes, visit Gorilla Mountain View Lodge; has fantastic views and is only minutes away from the Volcanoes National Park, where you can take some treks on foot to see mountain gorilla.
You can get settled into your room at Gorilla Mountain View and spend the rest of the day relaxing in your room, or taking a stroll through the small village of Kinigi buying last minute snacks and drinks you might need.

Day 7: Gorilla Tracking at Volcanoes National Park
Set off early after breakfast for the park headquarters where you will get permit of gorilla trekking. Once assigned a group, have a briefing from your guide you will be driven to the trailhead where you will start the walk. Your trek will take about an hour to five hours to reach the gorillas
The terrain changes as we go deeper from farmland to bamboo forests, into stinging nettles and rainforest before we find the gorillas. Trackers leave before the tourist groups to locate the gorilla groups and once you`ve found the group you will have one hour with them. Make sure you take plenty of photos to keep memories

Day 8: Departure to Kigali.
After breakfast set off to Kigali. Make the most of this last drive enjoy different views of colorful villages and banana plantations on the way. Your driver-guide will drop you at Kigali Airport or to the hotel depending on your request
